acupuncture for children

Please contact us about your condition by phone on 020 7738 9845 and we will be happy to help.

The new Advertising Standards Association www.asa.org.uk/ restrictions for media and websites no longer allow us to list which conditions we treat, unless they comply with an approved list. In the case of acupuncture this is;
• Dental pain
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Pain associated with osteoarthritis of the knee (it must be made clear that effects are temporary and that acupuncture is used as an adjunctive treatment, not a standalone one.)

This is because they are the only conditions where the research complies with their standards although the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC www.acupuncture.org.uk) is continuing to present the evidence for other conditions. Though there is a growing body of scientific research into the uses, there is, however, little data that conforms to the usual Western medical standards of large scale, double-blind, randomised controlled trials on the human population and, as a result, its efficacy must still be considered to be largely unproven.
